Our Mission
Bailey’s Bouquets mission is to spread kindness and love through flowers, one bouquet at a time. They aim to provide a source of comfort, reminding each widow or loved one: You are loved and not forgotten.
More of our Story

Founders, Michelle Bailey and daughters Danielle Bailey and Patrice (Bailey) Scelzo lost their husband/father, on June 11, 2020. In February 2022, Michelle started providing comfort to widows as a grief counselor. At the same time, Danielle saw the sadness that surrounded her mom around special occasions, like birthdays, anniversaries and Valentine’s Day. It was then that Bailey’s Bouquets was created, combining their love of flowers and creativity, to help those who need a smile or a reminder: You are loved and not forgotten.
What started as Michelle and Danielle creating 12 bouquets to deliver to widows around Valentine's Day, turned into creating a non-profit organization in 2025 and growing the Widows Project, where now many volunteers help create and deliver bouquets.
A little more about us...
-
Michelle spent over 62 years in the social work field and recently officially retired in 2024. Her ability to listen, connect and give support not only as a social worker, but a mother and friend is so valuable to the mission. She and her late husband Dick had a love for sailing and countless stories of love to share from over 52 years of marriage.
-
Danielle works for a healthcare company, as an event planner and has 30+ years of experience in retail and restaurant management, including owning a retail store and wedding business on Martha's Vineyard. Most recently, with the loss of her father in 2020, she is much more aware of grief and the way it effects people in many different ways. This has been a labor of love working with her mom in creating this very special non-profit.

Patrice supports Michelle and Danielle from Chicago, where she lives with her family of four. Her +25 years at an investment firm and all around support, has been a huge help. She too has experienced grief and loss through many friends and their families. Through each of her experiences, she attempts to nurture kindness and love for those grieving.
2025 brings excitement as Bailey's Bouquets continue to spread kindness, love and support to those who are grieving or have experienced loss.
